Associate Director + Project Leader

  • RIBA Stage 4:  Directing internal team of architects developing the design and technical information to be issued for tender.  Presenting final design options, materials and details for client approval.

my role

The site is located on the corner of Fitzroy Street and Howland Street, directly to the east of the BT Tower; a well-known Grade II listed landmark.  The existing office block, originally constructed in the 1960’s, was the first stage of a major refurbishment project to consolidate all of engineering firm Arup’s properties in to one larger campus.

The scheme retains the majority of the existing fabric and internal structure, with the internal layouts being re-configurated to provide a high quality office development and interior design worthy of its context in central London.   The proposals include a new entrance on Fitzroy Street, a new café and event space within the ground floor atrium, a 2-storey extension along Cleveland Mews and a new roof bar terrace with 360 degree views of London.
